We were tasked with the safe installation of a stone lion to Longleat House, an Elizabethan stately home within in the grounds of the Longleat safari park near Warminster. This iconic feature was commissioned to celebrate the park’s 50th anniversary.
Our skilled team were able to lift the statue from a wafer deck trailer and place it in front of Longleat House using a 62 tonne per metre Palfinger crane.
We were pleased to be able to help the Friends of Alton Station with the removal of the main span of an original wooden footbridge for restoration. The footbridge was erected at the Hampshire station in 1892 and is the last remaining bridge of it’s kind on the rail network.
Once the centre section was detached from the adjacent stairs it was able to be securely craned out of it's position and onto our specialist extendable low loader trailer which was prepared to receive the section. We then safely escorted and transported the bridge section a short distance to it's new storage location where we craned it into it's storage compound ready for restoration.
The latest addition to our fleet is a Volvo FH fitted with a Palfinger PK92002 with fly jib, winch, man basket and tree saw grapple. The crane & fly jib has a working radius of 30.4m. The vehicle was utilised in a recent project to safely lift and transport panes of glass, from supplier to site.
